Total Obliteration means Obliterators everywhere (and an ridiculous amount of artillery). That is exactly the kind of siege-breaker-rules you could get away with between 3rd and 4th edition. A strange middle era that didn’t last long…perhaps mercifully so.

Few models. Fast painting. But heavy. Very heavy. In every sense. Iron Warriors in metal miniatures and FOUR Heavy Support choices. It’s no coincidence these artillery specialists are the Fourth Legion. They just needed that extra slot!

Now, I don’t mind Chaos (rules-wise, of course…easy there, Inquisitor), but I’ve never been a big fan of daemons (the Inquisitor nods). So naturally, the Iron Warriors hold a special place in my iron ribcage. I could have Barabas Dantioch as my phone wallpaper…I could…

Nurgle may have been my first love, but Iron Warriors are the army I’ve played the most, especially this exact list at exactly 1500 points – not a point more, not a point less – precisely calculated, as any force of neurodivergent siege engineers would (myself included).

The list is brutally simple: more Lascannons, more Obliterators, a bunch of Autocannons and a bunker-breacher squad loaded with meltaguns. Since it’s on the menu, never skip dessert: the Basilisk is always on the table when the rules allow it.
